About Activity
The "Hassaku Festival" is a traditional event in which seven villages present creative "decorations" to Kumano Shingu Shrine, praying for a bountiful harvest. As dusk falls, lanterns light up, highlighting the beauty of the decorations. Without musical accompaniment, participants carry the floats and energetically sing the "Ise Ondo" to create a lively atmosphere. The shrine grounds also offer games, food, and drinks for visitors to enjoy.
