Tanba Sasayama Momiji-go Tour Bus Operates to Visit the Three Autumn Mountains of Tanba Sasayama!
A special tour bus will operate during the autumn season, visiting areas in Tanba Sasayama that are not typically covered by regular bus routes.
Bus Details
- Departure and Arrival Point: JR Sasayamaguchi Station (West Exit)
- Travel Fee:
- Adults (junior high school and older): ¥1,000 per person
- Elementary school children: ¥500 per person (Free for preschool children, but ¥500 will be required if a seat is needed)
- Minimum Number of Participants: 6
- What’s Included: Bus fare, toll fees, bus crew costs, consumption tax (Personal expenses such as meals and admission fees are not included)
- No tour guide will accompany the group, but a local staff member will guide you on-site.

- Before the start of the trip: 0%
- After the start or no-show: 100%

"Tanba Sasayama Momiji-go" Route
There will be one bus per day (Two buses will operate on November 23). Advance reservations are required. After registering at JR Sasayamaguchi, please note that if you get off midway during the route, you may not be able to reboard. Be sure to board at the designated time at the specified boarding locations. Travel and arrival times may vary due to traffic conditions.
November 9, 10, and 23 Route
- Schedule: Gather at 10:40 at JR Sasayamaguchi Station (West Exit) and depart at 10:50
- Route: JR Sasayamaguchi Station → Takazōji Temple (40-minute stop) → Sasayama Castle Ruins & Castle Town (80-minute stop, free time for lunch at your own expense) → Kuromame Hall (20-minute shopping stop) → Bunpōji Temple (50-minute stop) → Daikokuji Temple (30-minute stop) → Return to JR Sasayamaguchi Station (Arrive at 16:10)
November 23 Special Route
- Schedule: Gather at 10:00 at JR Sasayamaguchi Station (West Exit) and depart at 10:10
- Route: JR Sasayamaguchi Station → Daikokuji Temple (30-minute stop) → Bunpōji Temple (50-minute stop) → Sasayama Castle Ruins & Castle Town (80-minute stop, free time for lunch at your own expense) → Takazōji Temple (40-minute stop) → Kuromame Hall (20-minute shopping stop) → Return to JR Sasayamaguchi Station (Arrive at 15:30)
Important Notes
- Admission fees and meals are not included in the tour bus fare. Please pay the admission fees at each temple yourself.
- Admission Fees:
- Takazōji Temple & Bunpōji Temple: ¥400 each (Free for high school students and younger)
- Daikokuji Temple: Entrance fee: ¥400; Main Hall viewing fee: ¥500 (In the Main Hall, you can view the seated statues of Yakushi Nyorai, Dainichi Nyorai, Amida Nyorai, Jikokuten, and Zōchōten, which were created in the Fujiwara period and designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan in 1922.)
- Note: Since the parking lot at Takazōji Temple is within the temple grounds, the local staff will collect the admission fees in advance for all participants.
- (It is not possible to wait outside the temple grounds, so please apply with this in mind.)
