This serene scenery has been preserved by the people of this land, who have cherished harmony with nature, maintained traditions, and handed down their culture through generations. On this tour, you will meet town-building practitioners and local residents. Encounter the ongoing efforts in this region and the passion and vision of people dedicated to preserving and enriching the beautiful satoyama landscape.

Schedule and Tour Fees

Phase 2: "Living to Protect the Village"

• November 1 (Fri) – November 4 (Mon, Holiday), 2024
• Adults: ¥49,500 (tax included) per person
• Students: ¥32,000 (tax included) per person

Tour Fee Details

• The tour fee is ¥49,500 per adult and ¥32,000 per student (tax included).
• Student discounts apply to middle school, high school, university, vocational, and international students. A student ID is required upon application.
• Children in elementary school or younger are free. (*Additional charges may apply depending on dining and accommodation conditions.)
• The tour fee includes lodging, meals (two group meals: one dinner and one lunch), all experience content fees, full tour guidance, and travel insurance. (*Depending on the itinerary, some facility entrance fees or optional activity fees may be at the participant's expense.)

Day 1

1:00 PM: Gathering at the Meeting Point

• Meet fellow participants and staff
• Introduction to the tour

2:00 PM: Stroll through Castle Town and Villages

3:00 PM: "Experience Program ①"

• Talk by Takeshi Fujiwara, from NOTE Inc.

6:00 PM: "Dinner and Social Gathering"

• Local vegetable and game cuisine
• Craft beer, etc.

8:00 PM: "Stay at Traditional Farmhouse Inn"

Day 2

10:00 AM: "Experience Program ②"

• Talk by architect Kenji Saimoto

12:00 PM: Free Lunch

2:00 PM: "Experience Program ③"

• Talk by Katsuya Suzuki from Satoyama and Satoumi Issues Research

5:00 PM: "Stay at Traditional Farmhouse Inn" – Free Dinner

Day 3

• Farming experience with Satoru Nakaoka of SATORU FARM
